About Wendi Nelson

Wendi Nelson has built businesses, sold them, and written the playbooks that other people still use.

Before founding C-Level Coaching, she served as VP at Higher Gear CRM, one of the most widely adopted customer relationship platforms in the automotive industry. She knows what a sales process looks like when it works at scale, because she helped build one from the inside.

She went on to found and sell HireRite, a hiring solutions business built specifically for automotive retail. Along the way, she authored a hiring how-to guide — "Finders Keepers" — that major car dealerships across the country adopted internally, putting it in the hands of managers who were tired of making expensive hiring mistakes.

That background is what separates her from most coaches: she has been in the seat. She has built the team, made the wrong hire and then the right one, created the process, and sold the business. The frameworks she brings to clients are not borrowed from someone else's model. They come from decisions she made with her own money on the line.

Today her work is direct and specific: live coaching calls with salespeople, tuning up sales processes that have gone soft, and working with sales teams that need to perform better — not next quarter, but now. She does not teach theory. She gets on calls with the team, identifies what is breaking down, and fixes it.

She has done this across industries most coaches avoid — mitigation, cleaning, automotive, and the trades. These are not businesses where salespeople have time for a seminar. They are businesses where the phone rings, the job has to close, and the margin lives or dies on how that conversation goes. That is where she works best.

Most salespeople do not fail because they do not know the product. They fail because talking to a stranger feels uncomfortable, and that discomfort comes through. Wendi has stood on a stage in Miami and Chicago and won The Moth — one of the most competitive live storytelling events in the country — in front of a room full of people she had never met, with no notes and no script. She has killed that fear in herself. Now she teaches salespeople how to do the same thing in the first 30 seconds of a call.

The integration and automation work that supports her clients runs in the background — systems built to make sure the process she installs actually holds.
